How do i know if my egyptian boyfriend is using me for passport?

Hi i am looking for some advice plz. I am a single mom with 2 kids. I recently turned 30. I became a muslim in December 2010. I met an egyptian guy online in march and we were friend at first. But now in an online relationship as that's all it is right now. He has asked me in the past to come i said no as i don't work and he has offered to pay for my visit. I declined as i don't like to take freebies. Now he is going to try and come visit me soon inshallah. We have talked abt the possibility of marriage in the future if we both are happy too do so after meeting ( several times ) He has told some of his family about me as they would have an idea of him coming here too see me. His mother said mashallah that i am muslim and that he needs to be careful as i have kids if he is serious he needs to treat them like his own. He works for immagration himself and has lived and worked in Dubai also . He also has Dubai residence visa. He will be 27 soon and has no wife etc . I have heard horror stories of ppl so i'm just looking for some advice i don't want to be stupid. I really adore him alot and could use some help
