PS3 - How to free space?

Now we have the PS3 Store back up online I thought I'd jump in on some freebie stuff. I downloaded InFamous but when I came across installing it system said I didn't have enough space to install. I checked the System information and it says 5024/55GB, how comes I've got so little space when I don't have ANY music, pictures, or videos on my system?
